ideal situation

Transferring to GDCP has been an ideal situation for me because I get to have a fresh start.
A brand new seat, to befriend cubiclemates, an NMS project whose name doesn't start with 'I' (been with INC100MS and INMS), and not to mention a daily dose of lemon scent from both CRs make life interesting.
While lurking around my favorite website (I choose not to mention the url since it might be blocked) during this non busy times, a question struck me "What could be the ideal situation for NEC? What do I consider as utopian NEC office?".

Here is a list of suggestions I can think of:
Office Building - make the fire drill more realistic by introducing pyro techniques so that in case accident happens and the fire will be victorious, our office will be transferred to a high rise building. 8th floor doesn't sound bad..
Uniform - having to wear the same jeans for successive days feels a little itchy. thus if we opt for NEC top down uniforms, most likely I won't be the only one feeling the itch.
Clinic - [please proceed to the next item]
Review Area - a review area close to GDCP. how about demolishing the clinic?
Salary - 14th month pay for credit card bills because they never miss sending us "love" letters.
Pantry - unlimited supply of coffee in our pantries. SDE3 and below don't have to regularly visit Budoy's cabinet and SE and above don't have to walk distance going to Starbucks.
Nihongo - students who excel in Nihongo (80% attendance and took all exams) will have a field trip in Tokyo Disneyland. Here's the catch, they have to participate in the company-wide nihongo speech contest.
Internet Quota - engineers who haven't reached their quota every week for a given year will also get a trip to Tokyo Disneyland. What's the catch? TBD
AOTS/IntraTransfer - just fishing...
HR - car loan, pc loan, signing incentive, and all employee benefits can be availed regardless of position. By then, hr staffs will gladly volunteer composing our resignation letters.

I could have listed some more suggestions but my daydreaming was disrupted by the percusive door-slamming in the male comfort room. Honestly, NEC is perfectly fine. It is everything you can hope for in a working environment. Operating for a decade in the Philippines is a huge success and that is what you call ideal situation.

had lunch with gladys at sinangag express and in need of something sugary after that uncooked looking eggs we opted to take a visit at jollibee. Coincidentally, gladys and i wanted peach mango pie so i told the jolly lady ill have 2. grabbing the opportunity, the lady told us we can have 3 pies for only 44 pesos instead of 2 for 36 pesos (needless to say 1 peach mango pie costs 18 pesos). So gladys and i agreed to take the 3 pies and gave 22 pesos each. Before we came into the office, gladys took a pie and with an i-mean-business look on her face said "oi kung imo na kanon ang usa kay bayari ko ha" (something like that). Hours passed i still didnt touch the third pie until my officemate who seems to be hungry all the time said "hala lami lagi ni" so I being the generous one told him "cge imo nana". Had to warn you that gladys is just the type of person who computes money matters to the last centavo. But in this case, i think she has crossed the limits. I, being the honest one, told her "gurl, pila ako bayran sa last pie". Once again with that i-mean-business look on her face she replied "9". 'Grabeh kaau... unsa ni tulis?!!!' I think I'm supposed to pay only 8 pesos since 44-36 is 8. After a minute of argument, I, being the good one, gave in and paid 9 pesos but this time i threw back an i-mean-business look on my face and said "Bantay lng ka".

just happened to read blogs of my friends about their mothers.
i was moved with their stories which pushes me to write my own and besides mother's day was just 2 days ago.

my mother has always been my inspiration. i will always give her my best. an incident during my preparatory years will forever leave a mark. in school, we were thought to create "puppets" made from egg shell and pop sickle sticks. I happened to create a really nice puppet but I wasn't able to bring it home since i broke it while we were arranging chairs for dismissal. When i arrived home that day i told my mother of my tragic story, she simply replied "ay ka sayang". Those words really broke my heart. Those words has been my guide. From then on, i see to it that i would give her everything that could possibly make her happy. That's why you could not blame me being "naning" in school because i would make her smile if I bring home a perfect score. I will let her try everything.. i would not let her miss anything.. that is how i love my mother. my achievements will always be for her.

sleep deprived

i miss this job.. having that extra time to jot down what is in your mind.
eighteen straight days of sleeping beyond 1 in the morning certainly would answer why.
sleeping late is not good.. first it would make your head crack and your mother wont stop on texting you "pls uli na".
thinking being online in my YM late evening would help instead your chatmate will ask you where you are and they will go berserk when you say in the office. talking bout finding someone to help you forget stressful work. going to the office together with my sister at 830 has been my routine everyday but because of the need to rest - most of the time i could not accompany her anymore. work has not been the problem but looking at things you like to do stay in the corner. they say its not good for your health but in my case i think sleep deprivation due to work is draining emotionally. need to go out tonight (home by 10)

birthday preparations

i've been busy whole day for my 6th birthday this coming friday.
i had my hair done at bridges in jy and it cost me 280 pesos for a simple looking hair.
i had a good buy at spring field for my upper attire and it really looks good on me.
everything's all set except for the most important thing.. the party itself. :(

i still haven't decided what to do on my birthday. i had a conversation with baboy last night but at the end of the day i only had flashes of birthday images running in my mind. i have 3 options which will be elaborated next. after reading this post, please help by choosing one option. votation ends on tuesday...

option 1
party at home
+ my mother's uncomparable dishes
+ nothing compares to the comfort of your home
+ party all night
- eat and talk... is that all?
- family, benchjag, 01-compsci and neccers will be there thus i have to check each once in a while if they are doin fine (mura kog gikasal)
- pity my homies who will prepare and clean up

option 2
party at jollibee
+ something different (sahay ra btaw ko magbirthday ug tinuod)
+ there will be a program c/o jollibee crew (fun! fun!)
+ everything is in jollibee's hand (hayang ra ko)
- only for 2 hours
- chicken joy, jolly spaghetti, twirl, rice, coke and gut fed up.
- there is a big possibility, hetty spaghetti will pull me from my chair to dance along. worst.. perform break dance.. (thanks bab for the warning)

option 3
party with family, party with friends-1, party with friends-2, ... , party with friends-n
+ save me from taunting
+ can choose after dinner activities depending on whom im with (sing star2x with chammy, drink rh with nice, etc..)

bad massage

my head has been aching for several days..
in a desperate attempt to make it feel better, i went to this spa salon of rajah park hotel.

i was not pampered...
i was not provided with comfortable clothing, i had foot massage w/ my denims rolled up above my knees. [bugat kaau]
right after applying cream and powder on my foot, the masseuse proceeded with my face and head. [luoy kaau]
testosterone to testosterone massaging made it worse..

as of writing, my head still aches and my face is covered with pimples. nyahahahha..

yesterday i had another radiator fan problem which meant i had to hop in someone's ride to save my friday night or had to go straight to home and watch cable TV deprived of BTV and Jack TV channels. luckily i got a hitch from my good friend boss jason and it turned out to be a great night; great since not only for the sessions we did (eat, drink, and sing) but i was with the group mates && friends i prefer to be with (wali and nice were with us) nyahahaha. it happens occassionally... most of the time other beings come to join.
sum it all.. it was fun! :D

we had bowling last night and i was horrible!

i could not even reach the 100 plateau. an indication for how well you play that game is by reaching that score (well that's how they put it).
i've always believed i have the skills to play this game. back when the days inopacnons (natives from inopacan leyte already residing in cebu - which includes my father) had an annual bowling fest, i never failed to awe them with my scores which were always among the top. I was ten by then and i can't remember how i threw the ball.

today, i probably possess the weirdest stance of bowling. i'm the type who rely on finesse not power hehe. i throw the ball so slow hoping the ball will end up between the first and second pins. Strikes wont come in bunch but spares do. If i do succeed with having enough spares then i will have a decent score. but not anymore... last night i have enough opens, i was so in love with the gutter which resulted to tallying scores of 80 and 98. i wasted my money... i think i need more practice..

hmm.. to save me from embarrassment, i enjoyed last night's bowling anyway =p

on sports stuffs

i may not look like it but mind you am really a big fan of the NBA and MLB.
to the point of memorizing (actually not memorizing it just sticks to my mind) all the rosters from each team.
you can ask me right now while fixing a critical bug where barry bonds will be playing next season and i will answer you in a split second that he is still unemployed; still seeking for a team that will patiently take his steroid issues.

but the problem with this addiction is that no one can relate to me.
my own friends are fond of show business (i know a bit of that too)
my dad is fond of politics (he frequently updates himself with the american election this season)
i can't find someone to share my bright insights, my own witty analyses.
who to drop.. who to take.. what is lacking with the new york knicks..

[Sigh] ill just take this for now and to keep myself acquainted with these stuffs i just spend my time (even in the office) reading articles from the experts and watching boxscores do reloads.

oh by the way maybe i just miss my brother :)

i was overwhelmed by his comment! Im just serving my 2nd year in the office and having someone to praise you like that is unexplainable. i tried to compose myself, wore my best smile and replied. "I'm too young." he answered back laughing "I'm young also."

i think i'm that good. (he indirectly said it) :)
